Federal Democracy Charter
The Federal Democracy Charter has two parts: Part (1) is the "Federal Democratic Union Declaration", containing the values and principles on which the union must be based, and Part (2) is the "Interim Constitutional Arrangements".
The Federal Democracy Charter was declared on March 31, 2021, by the revolutionary forces that would later emerge as the National Unity Consultative Council.
The amended charter was re-approved at the People's Assembly held on January 27–29, 2022.
The National Unity Consultative Council, the interim National Unity Government and the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw are bodies formed under the charter.
