Four Yangon Protest Members Arrested
On September 21, the Anti-Junta Alliance Yangon (AJAY) announced that four members of strike forces were arrested following a series of anti-dictatorship actions in Yangon, and that contact with their families has been cut off.
The four arrested are Ko Zaw Lin Htut (a.k.a. Pho Thar), co-founder of the RUSU (Tekkatho) alumni force and a freelance photojournalist; Ko Aung Min Khaing (a.k.a. Mel Gyi), leader of the Youth Strike Committee (YSC); YSC member Ma Mya Manju; and former political prisoner Ma Hnin Ei Khaing. The statement said those arrested are being interrogated under the military's inhumane torture, and that there is grave concern for their lives and health.
