The Asho Chin Defence Force (ACDF) was formed on November 16, 2021, with the aim of uniting Asho Chin revolutionary comrades in various revolutionary fields and establishing a new federal democratic state. It has stated that, representing the Asho Chin people, it is fighting alongside revolutionary forces to uproot military dictatorship and establish a federal democratic system, and to regain its lost rights and the rights of ethnic groups.
The ACDF was formed with four directions and four national political aspirations. The four national political aspirations are:
1. Joining hands with ethnic EROs and local revolutionary forces with the same political aspirations
2. Building a federal democratic union that guarantees minority ethnic groups
3. Building Asho Chin national politics, which successive generations of Asho Chin ancestors were unable to build, on the 21st-century Myanmar political platform
4. Self-determination and a self-administered territory for the Asho Chin people. Its directions are to uproot military dictatorship and fascism; to form revolutionary, national, political and military alliances with ethnic armed organizations and revolutionary forces; to develop ways for Asho Chin people inside and outside the country to contribute from whatever role they can; and to continuously lead Asho Chin national politics.
The ACDF has received training and some assistance from the Arakan Army (AA) and operates in the lowland areas where Asho Chin people live. It also carries out joint military operations with the Chin National Army (CNA), and has taken part in the battles to capture Rezua and Tedim together with Chinland joint forces including other Chin Defence Forces (CDFs). It also has strong relations and military cooperation with other armed forces that trained in Arakan, such as PRA Magway, the Student Armed Force (SAF), the People's Liberation Front (PLF) and the People's Revolutionary Force. It has formed a brotherhood alliance with the People Independence Army (PIA) and carries out military operations and local work together with it.
