ASEAN reviewed the implementation of 5-Point Consensus and made 11 decisions 43rd ASEAN Summit on 5 September, 2023.
ASEAN leaders conveyed grave concern for the lack of progress of implementation of five-point consensus and called on the military junta and "all related parties concerned" to stop targeting civilians, public and religious buildings, to keep non-political representation of Myanmar and to pass on 2026 chairmanship to the Philippines. They also tasked AHA Center to continue delivering aids for IDPs in Myanmar and tasked foreign ministers to report back the progress on the decisions.
Reviews and decisions highlighted "Myanmar-owned and Myanmar-led comprehensive political resolution" as they lauded and called for continuation of the current chair Indonesia's "engagement with all relevant stakeholders" via "informal mechanism".

NUG declares non-recognition and dissolution of the military regime's Human Rights Commission
The Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, established by the military junta, is not an independent, impartial, and respected body. Instead, it operates in line with the junta’s interests and opposes the Paris Principles. Therefore, the National Unity Government (NUG) announced on February 13 that it does not recognize this body and considers it dissolved.
