SSPP and RCSS agree on a ceasefire according to the demand of Shan public
On November 29, the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS/SSA) and the Shan State Progress Party (SSPP/SSA) jointly announced a ceasefire between them, in line with the wishes of the people of Shan State.
The announcement, issued in Shan, said that three SSPP/SSA representatives and four RCSS/SSA representatives met on November 29 and reached agreement on a ceasefire. It also said the joint announcement was made so that the people of Shan State, the Sangha, and military officers and soldiers would be aware of the ceasefire process.
