Four Mon Armed Organizations Unite to Establish a Single Army
On December 19, four locally based forces waging armed resistance against the terrorist junta in Mon State announced that they had agreed to work toward the emergence of a single, inclusive Mon army.
The Mon State Liberation Army (MLA), the Mon National Liberation Army (MNLA-AD), the Mon State Defence Force (MSDF) and the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF) reached the agreement after a meeting in a revolutionary area on December 18, and also agreed to carry out joint military operations as a first step.
