Mon State Federal Council
The Mon State Interim Coordination Committee (MSICC) was formed on April 19, 2021, by ethnic forces, democratic forces and revolutionary forces, and at the first conference of the Mon State Federal Council held on January 15, 2023, the MSICC was expanded and confirmed as the Mon State Federal Council (MSFC).
Its objectives are achieving federal democracy, fighting dictatorship, especially military dictatorship, and bringing down military dictatorship. Its chair is Nai Htun Pe (a.k.a. Nai Thuwunna).
It regularly issues statements on civilian protection, its cooperation with the NUCC and NUG, and awareness-raising on the Federal Democracy Charter. It has also held meetings with the Central Committee for Interim Local People's Administration. In the NUG, the Minister of Labour, a Deputy Minister of Defence and a Deputy Minister of Planning, Finance and Investment take part as MSICC representatives. The first conference of the Mon State Federal Council was held on January 15, 2023.
The MSFC is a member organization of the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC).

The fake "politics" of the military regime
The terrorist military junta issued a statement on September 26 offering the Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs) and the People's Defense Forces (PDFs) to solve political problems politically. On July 12, the Lagun Eain newsletter, published by the New Rehmonnya Federated Force (NRFF), published the"6-Month Human Rights Violation Report in the Mon Region" which compiled a record of human rights violations that occurred in the Mon region during the six months from January to June 2024.
Mon State Federal Council Reconstitutes Its Administrative Committee
On May 27, the Mon State Federal Council (MNFC) issued Order No. 1/2024 announcing that, following the council's second conference, its administrative committee has been reconstituted with a total of 10 members, the committee chair and nine department heads, to exercise the three branches of power in Mon State (territory).
Second People's Assembly Approves Three Resolutions on Pa Thone Lone, Military Conscription and the 1982 Citizenship Law
The NUCC announced that the second People's Assembly, led by the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) and held over five days from April 4 to 9, adopted three resolutions concerning local administration and the rule of law, the terrorist military's illegitimate People's Military Service Law, and the Myanmar Citizenship Law (1982).
Mon Constitution (zero draft) approved
The Mon State Federal Council -MSFC stated on February 29 that the Mon State Constitution (Zero Draft) was approved after the second conference was held on February 28 and 29 in order to stand as a federal unit according to the Federal Democratic Charter.
