PSLF/TNLA Prohibits Rare Earth Mining and Related Operations
On May 17, the Economic Department of the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA) announced that no business owner will be permitted to carry out rare earth mining, exploration and surveying, or small- or large-scale production in Ta'ang State, and that anyone who does so will face action under existing law.
After Operation 1027, carried out jointly with the three Northern Alliance members in November 2023, the PSLF/TNLA captured the towns of Namhsan, Nammatu, Mantong, Kutkai, Namhkam, Mong Ngaw and Mong Long and has begun administering them. The statement was issued in the name of Brigadier General Tar Ohm Tamaung, Joint General Secretary (1) of the Economic Department.

Mandalay Region Interim Political Arrangement
The "Mandalay Region Interim Political Arrangement" (draft) has been written with 12 chapters and will soon be adopted. The draft has been officially released so that revolutionary political forces across the country, including Mandalay revolutionary forces and the public, can review it and send suggestions, and it is being further revised based on the suggestions received. NUG Deputy Minister of Human Rights Granted Leave from Duties
The NUG announced on March 7 that Khun Bedu Htan, one of the deputy ministers of the National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Human Rights, had been granted leave from his duties.
PSLF Declares Meeting in Kunming Unsuccessful Despite Three Discussion Points
On February 19, the Palaung State Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) announced that although three points, including a ceasefire, were requested and discussed during the meeting where both sides’ troops met, the discussions were difficult. As a result, it was concluded that the meeting would only end with an agreement to meet again under the leadership of Mr. Deng Xijun, the special envoy of the Chinese government.
Chinland Council Prioritizes Local Government Strengthening Principle
On February 2, the Chinland Council issued a statement declaring that the strengthening of regional governments, starting from the Chinland Government, will align with the federal union model, and the Chinland Government will work together to build a federal union in accordance with the guidelines of the national government.
