Tai Youth Yangon Issues Statement Condemning the Namhkam Airstrike Targeting Civilians
Tai Youth Yangon stated on September 6, strongly condemning the death of at least nine children and the injury of at least seven children as a result of an attack by a terrorist military junta targeting civilians in a residential area in Htong Mao area, Namhkam City, Northern Shan State.
On the early morning of September 6th, around 1:30 a.m., when most people were sleeping, the terrorist military junta attacked, therefore, TTY demanded the armed forces including the military junta about four points including an end to launch airstrikes into civilian residential areas, artillery shelling, and the purposeful use of human shields and hostilities.
The BBC Burmese reported that during the Namhkam attack, 11 people, including pregnant women, and children, were killed and 11 others were injured.

The ten suspects for his murder had been identified. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration of the National Unity Government (NUG) announced on January 17 that these suspects would be investigated by military tribunals of the Ministry of Defense of NUG, and actions would be taken according to the law.
