IEC issues Third Quarter Fiscal Statement
On October 31, the Interim Executive Council Of Karenni State (IEC) released the statement of tax collection and sectoral budget allocation for July to September 2024.
In three months, 1,329,448,100 kyats of tax was collected and re-spent in nine sectors. According to the IEC statement, the budget was allocated as 5.10 percent for Central Finance, Office work, Management, and Communication, 35.70 percent for the Department of Home Affairs, 8.20 percent for Education, 10.20 percent for Health, 8.20 percent for Humanitarian and Rehabilitation Department, 5.10 percent for Management/Finance/Tax, 12.20 percent for the Justice, 10.20 percent for the Trade/Investment and Transportation, and 5.10 percent for the Independent Judiciary.
Even under the Department of the Home Affairs Budget, further allocations are also made to public administration, immigration, emergency rescue and relief, law enforcement and municipal sectors.
