NUCC releases review on the current politics and military situation
On August 16, the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) stated the follow-up actions related to the 3 resolutions and 21 recommendations adopted by the Second People’s Assembly and reviewed the country's current political and military situation.
In a 13-point statement, in addition to the situation of the terrorist military junta’s crimes, the situation of international sanctions to be increased, honoring the military achievements and involvement in the civilian protection issues, the council outlined the resolution passed by the assembly, and the processing conditions for the recommendations are stated separately.

Gerrymandering means grouping or spreading out areas of assured support so that the outcome a party needs can be shaped as desired. For the junta, it has already created conditions in which only its backed Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) and a few supporting parties can contest and win, having dissolved major parties such as the National League for Democracy (NLD) and the Shan Nationalities League for Democracy (SNLD) amid a broad political boycott. AA Responds That Drug Allegations Are Merely Political Attacks
On March 19, the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) responded that reports in the military's mouthpiece newspapers of March 18 and 19, claiming that AA economic officer Ye Win (a.k.a. Kyaw Soe Lin) and his wife Ma Thida Myint were involved in a drug seizure worth 96 billion kyat, have nothing to do with its organization and are merely a malicious political attack.
