NUG takes action against PDFs and six Pa Ka Pha members within one month
The Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG) stated on November 14 that in October 2024, a member of the People's Defense Forces (PDF) and six members of the People’s Defense Teams were prosecuted and punished, while the subordinate forces were subjected to necessary controls to become a force that serves the people.
The statement said that a PDF was sentenced to prison by a court-martial and a PDT aka Pa Ka Pha was sentenced to prison by a military tribunal, one of the four members of the PDT was dismissed from his position by the investigation tribunal, two were temporarily suspended from duty for six months, and a letter of formal notice was sent to another person. Still, it did not specify what crimes were committed. However, it is stated that the actions were taken following the fair trial and procedure.

Chapters 1 to 3 of the draft cover objectives, values and basic principles, and Chapter 4 covers fundamental rights, entitlements and duties. Chapters 5 to 10 cover the structure of the Mandalay region and its legislative, executive and judicial branches, Chapter 11 covers amendment of the arrangement, and Chapter 12 contains general provisions.
